IT Job Board reports 54% increase in Contract Roles

The Managing Director of the IT Job Board, Alex Farrell said that “We have continued to see a rapid rise in the number of positions being advertised in the first quarter of 2010, a real sign that the market is bouncing back.\” The IT Job Board reported a 16% increase in the number of IT positions as a whole advertised on the site, taking the total number of roles to over 21,000.

The news, which will be warmly received by professional contractors and recruitment agencies, is yet another sign that life is well and truly returning to the IT Contract market. The past couple of weeks have seen a number of high profile agencies announce a significant upturn in demand for specialist IT contractors.
