Commenting on the framework a Buying Solutions spokesman said “the agreement is intended to attract a wide and varied supply base, including but not limited to, specialists, niche suppliers and SMEs\”. Buying Solutions aim is to agree purchasing agreements with suppliers at rates agreeable to the Government. Over the past 10 years public sector expenditure has grown enormously and in an effort to tackle the issue Buying Solutions was set up.
