The Government should therefore reconsider its plan to put an artificial cap on immigration while legitimate demands exist. The huge imminent public sector cuts will put more pressure on private businesses to create employment opportunities.”
The temporary Immigration Cap is already making it very difficult for UK businesses to get the skilled workers they need, due to official and unofficial skill shortages in Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare & Accountancy / Finance. The Government is due to implement a permanent Immigration Cap in April 2011.
